Amazon Queen Arrives at Baba Yaga's

The Amazon Queen has heard that Baba is organising the Advent Calendar this year and has 'all hands on deck'. So she has made haste to be at Baba's and help with the preperations. The Golden Spinning Wheel will be heard whirling late into the night.

The skies above Baba's are full of traffic as travellers make their way to her house to work on the annual Advent Calendar. Going to the House of Baba Yaga will be like attending an artist's convention and Baba is, frankly, excited. She has her Soul Hands working their fingers to the bone to have the place ready for such distinguished visitors.

Thursday I went travelling.
Along the bay to Sandringham
To visit the Vet with dog on board
Her ears to clean and be washed out
An awful thing for my poor Jessie dog.
But brave she be,chocolate biscuit as the prize.
She slept the sleep of one who
had been relieved of pain.
So as she dozed I popped in
To my local Op shop
There to find a magic doll
and a Pegasus horse as well
The Amazon Queen she is ,so beautifully robed ,in hat of splendor and frock of black and gold
I bought then and there and also spied
A horse with mane of Purple and reins of silver
I had to have that horse
And I will tell the tale to all of you
When I arrive on the doorstep of that Amazon Queen
In North Fitzroy........
Await my news some time next week.

Well.....Fellow Travellers...
I have as promised visited the Amazon Queen at her residence on Saturdy afternoon and had a cup or two of tea ,and we chatted about this and that and solving some of the Worlds dilemas and how this long journey we are all on is just full of such wonder and creativity ,how else to describe it ...not magic more than that....................

Anyway I took with me the doll resembling an Amazon Queen I purchased for a dollar at a local Op/shop, I think they are called thrift shops as well, or recycled goods shops (Covering all countries)
Her face lit up,did I see a teardrop in her eyes ,did I see a recognition ,was she overawed by the colours in this hand made creation I purchased at such cost.?.
I leave it to all of you to imagine her delight ...She did share with me the Pegasus horse and insisted I keep the mauve/long hair/beaded silver bridled tiny animal for any journey I might make in the future.
There is little left to tell but I did had a wonderful day watching her sketching with her box of beautiful pencils and art supplies galore ,surrounded by beloved gathered treasures adorning her fire place mantle piece...
She is no doubt a woman of many disguises, but as her art progresses you can see her as has been said ....She is ,what she is and so be it....and for that we say "Bravo" .......
I am hoping we may see this Amazon Queen Doll on the journey at some time, fingers crossed..

What a joyful afternoon we had Lois and the doll was, we agreed, just perfect.
